Security guards outside CIA headquarters shot an individual on Thursday in what is being called a “security incident.” The shooting was reportedly not fatal.
A person familiar with the matter told NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell about the incident, which occurred hours after Israeli Embassy staffers were fatally wounded outside an event in D.C. However, at this time there is no evidence linking the incidents.
Early Thursday, the CIA wrote in a post on X that the front gate of its headquarters was “closed until further notice.”
